Our client is looking for a Financial Controller who will work alongside the MD, providing ongoing support and guidance to help ensure the company's plans are viable and in line or exceed the financial objectives. Reporting directly to the MD, the FC will be responsible for all the financial, IT systems, company secretarial, taxation and administrative aspects of the Company.
A strong Financial Controller is required to manage readiness and plan for growth and changes, delivery against agreed plans but also, with the benefit of experience, be prepared to push back where demands are not realistic. Better use of the ERP system to improve the efficiency of finance functions is a particular area of focus - experience with these sorts of systems, projects and initiatives will be valuable.

Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Qualified accountant
  • Minimum of 2 years at or near FC level
  • Self-starter who can work independently and independent-minded
  • Energetic, enthusiastic individual with a “get it done” attitude
  • Familiar with medium/large scale tendering processes
  • A strong technical accountant with a commercial and operational flair
  • Experience of overseas sourcing and importing desirable
  • Capacity to influence and implement change
  • An excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • The credibility and gravitas to influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making.
  • Highly refined analytical skills to quickly review and analyse business processes.
  • Thorough understanding of business strategy, organisational design and other business functions.
  • Good IT skills and experience of ERP systems
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • Attracted to the idea of being rewarded by success

Salary
  • Basic salary in range £45-55k depending upon experience but expected that the role and rewards will grow in line with the Company’s expected growth rate. Salary will be expected to move in line with achieving turnover targets and the demands of the role.
