Objective Purpose
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for dealing with sales and purchase ledgers. Preparing accounts and financial
reports. Calculating and checking payments, amounts and records to ensure they are correct. Investigating discrepancies and
reporting any variances, as well as providing administrative support to the Finance Manager.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
• Assisting in preparing management accounts
• Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
• Controlling credit and chasing debt
• Creating sales invoices accurately in a timely manner
• Processing purchase invoices in Xero accurately in a timely manner
• Processing expense requests for the Finance Manager to approve
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Participate in correlating regular reports for management
• Reconciliation of company card reports
• Process weekly payment runs using NatWest online banking
• Liaising with third party suppliers, clients, and providers
• Processing Weekly invoices
• Ensure deductions are accurate
General
• General ADHOC reporting
• General office administration
• Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries
• Maintaining spreadsheets for the department
• Managing the department’s post
