Salary: £19,000 - £24,000

Our client is looking to appoint an Assistant Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.

Main Attributes Required:
Payroll experience essential
Must be reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated
Good office keyboard skills essential such as word and Excel
Excellent customer service skills required
Excellent telephone manner essential
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to use own initiative

Main Duties:
Responsible for managing and processing the full weekly payroll in the team’s absence
Using spreadsheets to collate weekly payroll information and import into payroll
Assisting the team in contacting new employees daily to get them registered and set up on the system
Discussing payroll models with the employees to ascertain the most appropriate option
Processing the weekly payroll through our bespoke payroll system (full training given)

You will be part of a small team working with the directors
Potential to lead a team as the business grows
On occasions throughout the week, you will possibly be required to work alone.

Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm. Half an hour unpaid lunch. (42.5 hours)

You will be office based at our office in Newport, Wales

Salary £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience and six-month review
