Job Vacancy: Credit Controller/Administrator

We are working with our client based near to Cwmbran to recruit a Credit Controller to join their vibrant and award-winning company.


You will be responsible for delivering general accounting services as needed and providing support to the finance team. The position entails overseeing the organisation's credit control and sales ledger administration functions.  Additionally, some general administrative tasks will need to be completed.


  • Recovering debt as per set company targets
  • Maintenance of Debtor ledgers
  • Debtor Reporting and analysis
  • Administration of Sales ledger – Creating, processing, issuing sales invoices and statements
  • Administration of the Invoice Discounting Process
  • Providing support with query /dispute resolution
  • Bank reconciliations, payments, credit card, ecommerce: payments and receipts
  • Expense claim management
  • Administration of the company insurance policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the month end and statutory accounting process
  • Any other duties as requested by Finance Manager and Head of Finance


  • Previous experience of credit control essential
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Planning and prioritisation of workload to meet deadlines
  • Able to work methodically with good attention to detail
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated, with a practical, “can-do” approach
  • Good general office administration skills
  • Good Excel skills and ideally Sage L50 skills
