Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Job Purpose: To play a leading role in the financial management and reporting for the group of
companies.
Key Objectives:
- The production of accurate and timely management accounts for all companies within the Group;
- Analysis and reporting on key financial data both internally and externally on a timely basis whilst ensuring accuracy and
relevancy at all times;
- The development of systems across the business to ensure robust financial controls;
- Working with the Group Financial Controller to manage, lead and develop the finance team;
- To add value to the business.

Duties and Responsibilities
- To lead, motivate, monitor, review and develop the performance of the Finance and Admin team as a whole and as
individuals.
- To ensure all information produced is accurate, well presented, fully explained and addresses the relevant issues.
- To ensure the management accounts packs are fully comprehensive and produced to deadlines
- To compile full sales analysis identifying market/distribution/product anomalies
- To ensure that all financial systems accurately reflect the actual procedures and transactions of the business.
- To actively identify any weaknesses in procedures and controls, provide a solution and implement it as soon as practicable,
with particular emphasis on stock and the recording of production, so as to ensure accurate records are being maintained
- To liaise with all departments to ensure any financial impact of their activities is being recorded accurately.
- To work closely with the team leaders within the department to ensure optimum staff deployment.
- To monitor expenditure against budgets and to ensure all budget holders are held accountable.
- To ensure the cash is managed so as to ensure maximum return.
- To monitor material prices to ensure maximum margin.
- To take a lead role as directed by the GFC within any finance projects/systems development
- To ensure the business achieves value for money across all goods & services.
- To act as back-up for weekly payroll procedure and ensure all HMRC requirements are met.
- To ensure that all financial controls are effective, are constantly reviewed and developed to ensure that they continue to
meet their objectives.
- To help grow the business and maintain the margins.
- To assume responsibility as Head of Department in place of Group Financial Controller during periods of absence.
Skills / Attributes Required
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience of team management
- Experience of SAGE 200 Accounting Systems (or similar).
- Accurate, logical, ambitious and goal orientated
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Self- starter
- A willingness to become involved in all aspects of the business
Desirable: -
- Experience of working in manufacturing industries
- Experience of auditing and the development of operating procedures;
- Experience of systems development
