We are working with a SME, Cardiff-based client to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper who will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions.
  • Regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and HMRC reporting.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and assist in financial audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial procedures and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Accounts to trial balance with month-end reporting.

Key Skills:
  • AAT Qualified or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
